Okay well I thought I'd give daggerfall a try, so I followed the instructions on here to install daggerxl and at first it seemed to work well. I decided to make a female Breton mage, but when I started up the game my character had a male body with clothes that can't be removed and I didn't get any starter spells either. ;X It seems unwilling to let me unequip new items I equip either and the game seems to crash a lot, despite my computer being able to run Oblivion.

I've tried reinstalling it a few times, but that doesn't seem to change anything. Any ideas?

Hey, DaggerXL isn't even in alpha state, so you should expect bugs, crashes, glitches, whatever... :)
Spells are not implemented yet.

oh that explains it. I thought it was a mostly completed project.

Well guess I'll play the normal version for now. I'll definitely try this out when some more features get released though - what has been done so far looks pretty impressive.
