I had an idea last night about synergizing perk trees.
Skills would, as usual, be divided into three columns: The Warrior, The Mage, and the Thief. These archetypes would hold dominion over the skills they influence.
To skip ahead, these columns could let you move skills so that they're next to each other, and synergize. With this, you can choose special perks that require perquisite skill in both trees so that they can be unlocked. For example, you could synergize One-handed with Speech to intimidate opponents when wielding a sword, or a mace. Or perhaps Alchemy with Heavy Armor to buff your armor rating, encumberance limit, and (slight) weapon damage when wearing all heavy armor (Not sure how, but maybe more reasonable things can be though of, like a buff to simply armor rating due to experience with Shield potions and conditioning in Heavy Armor).
Off topic discussions that don't fit in any other categories.
