My current theory is Todd Howard is just too stupid to understand why those things are fun.

So how come the only people who noticed the Daggerfall music are me and whoever posted it on TV Tropes? :p

I also noticed it. Gave me a warm fussy feeling inside.

I guess SkyrimNexus doesn't like Daggerfall music, since they removed it. :P

I can't believe I missed this post, but thank you so much.

I know it's a simple mod, but I've been looking for one for a while. Skyrim's environments really fit daggerfall's music perfectly - especially because of all the snow too.

Does it have the songs like gsnow_b and snowing+oversnow too?

Hmm, I don't remember. Most likely it does.

If you don't mind me asking, how would I put music in the game myself? There are some Hexen tracks I'd like to add in that would fit nicely for the combat situations.

Also, was screwing around with photoshop and the best armors I could find to do it:

Got some of the armors looking mighty similar to the Hexen classes

How I yearn for this to be implemented in skyrim. Hopefully they will put some of this stuff, like the seasonal changes, In a patch, or as a free mod.

EDIT: I tried making my own "music mod" of daggerfalls music, I used some of the songs from your pack freak, like the taverns and dungeons, and that graveyard tune, as well as the other pack that was made for morrowind way back:

http://www.gamefront.com/files/21319191 ... ic+mix.rar

Also, interesting thing i found out - the sounds for discovering places are music files. So that means I can put in a song in the file, and when you discover a dungeon it will play that song.

So basically the result is you get something akin to daggerfall, where you wander up to a dungeon and it plays a foreboding track. I used the night_06 file you put in that for it, and it's quite awesome and nostalgic.

I'm going to try uploading to SkyrimNexus and see if they remove it or not.

Saw your file.
I'm going to lose my shit if yours isn't removed but mine was.
Edit: You'd best give credits to Dan Goodale for the songs you took off my pack.

Ok gave credits to both him, and you for the original pack.

If it doesn't get removed maybe yours was removed by mistake. Either that or whoever took it down maybe for some reason thought you used the original game files for the music

I'd really appreciate that. :D
I asked a Nexus moderator and I was told that if it were removed by them I would be banned, and that the link to where the file used to be has nothing for them. So it might have just been an accident or a bug with Nexus.

Skyrim can be quite atmospheric, especially at night if you got the right mods ;)
