I would also like to recommend this thread:
http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/t ... ting-read/

Lots of interesting hidden stuff in the ini files. E.g. open map and books without that slow animation and enabling hyperthreading.

I finally got nice fast crisp forced AA to work last night with Transparency supersampling. Input compatibility flag 0x00411245 into the Antialiasing compatibility section of your Skyrim profile in nvidia inspector. Then change Behaviour flag to "none". Then select override any application setting in Anti-aliasing mode. Select 2xMultisampling for AA and 2xSupersampling for Transparency SSAA. It has less of a performance hit than Skyrims built in 4xMultisampling and even looks much better (no more jagged vegetation). Don't use Sparse-Grid SSAA as your Transparency AA, as it will make everything blurry like a pre-rendered cutscene (wich is ok if you want that effect). Don't forget to disable both Multisampling and Transparency Multisampling in Skyrim either via the launcher or through the .ini.

I'm very nearly done* with Skyrim, and while it's leagues better than Oblivion (that game had sooo much potential, Bethesda! Why did you do that to us?!), I felt it still fell short of Daggerfall and Morrowind. Though I will say, the dungeons are the best since Daggerfall.

All things considered, it's modern TES. Almost as good as Morrowind, better than Oblivion *coughandarenacough*, but not nearly as good as Daggerfall. A must play for fans, and a recommended play for anyone new to the franchise.

*I realize Skyrim's "radiant AI" system makes it impossible to finish every objective in the game, since it tends to make them up on the fly, but for the love of all things sacred, I can only hunt so many bandits!

Speaking of comparisons between Skyrim and Daggerfall, I just noticed one of the songs the bards play on their lutes is square_2. I just about spewed beer all over my computer when I heard it. :D

I do love the game, but the guild quests are a lot worse then Oblivon (IDK about the DB yet I just got in)

I mean they are good, but The Thieves guild literally does not require you to sneak at all, and most places are too light for it unless you have a high sneak skill. It seems like they lean towards brute force with everything. And the TG, companions, and Mages guild have all been super short.

And do they really think that they need to replace str, end, etc. with just health mana and stamina?

I really don't think people were THAT dumb that they couldn't read what each attribute does when it tells you right underneath them.

Sorry to say, but mostly - yes. People are even dumber :( Especially those ones who plays it on consoles.

My current theory is Todd Howard is just too stupid to understand why those things are fun.

So how come the only people who noticed the Daggerfall music are me and whoever posted it on TV Tropes? :p

Thanks. I'll give it a try. But still it's not how PC UI should look like. Also I think it still requires a lot of keys and click to just bind spell onto LMB. Binding should be 1-click(2 at most) for both hands for spells and weapons and everything.
