Well people. Lets talk about where you would like to see daggerfall, whether a mod on another game or on your favorite game console, etc.

I would love to see daggerfall homebrewed to the dreamcast,
also i think a daggerfall themed invasion wad/pk3 would be great for skulltag.

I would love to see Daggerfall on the PSP one day. To be able to play DF on the go would be amazing for me.

I would also love if it even got a multiplayer mode like Siege from Hexen 2, where teams have to assault castles to get an artifact and they have catapults and different player classes, whether it be by a skulltag conversion, or multiplayer support in this engine. That and coop :)

well you can play it on psp using dosbox, but its pretty bad, but i agree a port to psp would be nice, a massive game like daggerfall seems like it was made to be played on the run

I was just looking to see if Daggerfall could be played on the psp because of the psp dosbox.

but my search came up short once again, but from what ive heard, the psp would have trouble playing daggerfall from dosbox because of how much a memory hog the emulator is.

if only there was another way.

Ah, just had a random thought!
just imagine Tes:Arena for the gameboy advance :lol:

It's not a memory hog, it's a CPU hog.
On my Q6600 (2.4GHz) it slows down at some parts.
It's unrealistic to expect a framerate above, say, 5 on the 333mhz processor of the PSP.
That said, DaggerXL on PSP is very a possible.

Yes, but how would you play it? Daggerfall has one of the most PC-centric interfaces possible thanks to mouse-gesture-based melee combat.

Can't you run Daggerfall "native" on a PSP? As far as i know you can install Win95/Win98 on it, so maybe there is no need to use an emulator.
But the controls... Daggerfall uses most keys on my keyboard, so on a PSP many functions would be impossible to use. Another option would be an additional menu where you can choose from different options. So the basic keys like movement/attack/cast spell would fit on the PSP key-layout, and any further optios could be acsessed by a menu.

A PSP cannot natively run any PC software. The guys who installed Windows are using DOSbox.

Its not impossible, and the controls can be done without an additional menu.
The only menu you would Need is the ingame Hud.
L = mouse 1
R = mouse 2
analog = mouse
start = esc
triangle = up
square/circle =turn left and right
x = down
d-pad up = jump
d-pad left = run
d-pad down = sneak
d-pad right = strafe
select = recast spell/any hotkey like quick travel/ ect.

And the point im making about dosbos is uses up alot of resources.
I tried running daggerfall with dosbox on a laptop with a 2.10 GHz processor and only 256 Mb of ram.
The game was unplayable.

It should play ok on that setup. I was able to play it on a laptop witha 1.066 GHz Pentium III and 256 MB. The load times weren't fun, but it ran well enough.
