I guess the only news we're getting in the near future is more on "car key replacement Chicago"

Wow, still no updates. I was hoping that my post would at least inspire a status update.

On the plus side Jace Hall has been teasing a kickstarter for Blood:

Jace does that all the time, this is not his first attempt. If I remember right, last time he did, he got into talks with Atari until they suddenly decided that nothing was going to happen. So unless something's changed over there, I wouldn't get your hopes up too much on that front.

You're mostly wrong.

#1 he didn't try to start a Kickstarter.

#2 he tried to re-release Blood just as Atari was filing for Chapter 11 and trying to sell IP's.

This time he's supposedly going to go the Kickstarter route and either work with Atari or maybe buy the IP from them. This is all speculation on my part but that's probably what's going to happen.

"Oh, the site's down. This isn't good. I'll check it later."

3 days later.

"Oh cool, it's back. Had me worried. Surely there must be an update."

I also noticed that the site was down. As much as I hate to say it, I don't think there ever will be another update. I've seen plenty of optimistic projects like this just vanish sadly. Daggerfall Unity is looking better and better though.

Same here. Site down oh sh...., check facebook for an offical page, found some half baked fan page with three updates about the admin's friend's kickstarter.

Check the old web page every day anyway and today it's up!
But not a word on the blog.. How hard can it be?

Yeah, its unfortunate how this project went. Lucious allowed an incredible amount of feature creep, rather than focusing on finishing any one thing. Large projects are incredibly difficult to finish without a thriving open source team, and Lucious failed to open source the code. I know he's busy, and its difficult for a skilled software engineer to make time for side projects. Hopefully he'll get back to this project at some point.
