Arena Reorchestrated Tracks

Postby MusicallyInspired » Wed Nov 04, 2015 11:54 pm

I'm a music composer and I've done work for some small indie game projects in the past as well as some other personal projects and work with other local artists in my area. A while back I started reorchestrating certain music tracks from Arena with my sound libraries and even taking some liberties by extending them or adding new instruments. I thought I'd share the handful I made within the past year. I redid six of my favourite tracks before putting it away for a while. I hadn't seen this really done before, besides a few recordings with some more advanced MIDI hardware than Adlib or Windows GS,, so I decided to make some myself just for personal enjoyment.

Upon discovering this and the Daggerfall Unity forums I see that others have made some truly fantastic renditions of their own that I wasn't aware of and they sound quite spectacular! I had planned to make more tracks from Arena and eventually Daggerfall, but I don't want to be redundant and repeat someone else's work. I thought I'd share what I had made already anyway, though.

Under what license are you posting these under? If none is given, in some jurisdiction, then no one has any rights to listen. In other jurisdictions, it is considered public domain.

Have a look over here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creative_Commons_license
^-- these licenses give you a wide range of control depending on what you think is important.

I am aware of licensing. I was not aware that you must provide a license for every track you share freely on a forum.

This is just in case if your work would(could) be used with DXL or DF Unity :)

Well, I didn't know if it would have been requested for such or not. :) Thanks for the tip.

I just brought it up because I didn't see any license information on your website.

It is pretty much putting it out there for anyone and everyone to use without restraint, so don't be mad if you find your work being used elsewhere without your permission.

There is nothing stopping people from capturing the stream from soundcloud for example.

The licenses on all my tracks on SoundCloud are all reserved. Same for my Bandcamp stores. I'll change them for the Arena tracks, though.
