This extended save option is always something I found very handy on Oblivion(and FO3 and FNV). It's definitely handy to have in case of a crash, power outage, or death, etc.

Even better would be the ability to set up a set of timed autosaves, e.g. save every 5 minutes into a set of 5 save slots. Similar to the Streamsave function in the Oblivion mod Streamline or CASM for Fallout 3/NV.

That way, you don't risk getting so into the game that you forget to save and lose lots of progress after dieing :(
